Welcome to our Craft of the for March, 1999!

This month's craft was the celebration of spring coming and WIND!

Paper Bag Kite

Materials:
glue;
paper bag;
construction paper cut into shapes for face or other decoration;
twine for string & tail;
ribbons for tail.

This kite does not really fly, but rather it is for hanging on your wall as a cheery decoration! Unfortunately, our dog got ahold of ours, so this photo is all that survives of our craft day!
Just cut shapes out of construction paper... Megan had already done this in advance for us (bless her!). Cut the paper bag in the shape of a kite and then glue the face onto that. This seems maybe too simple, but the kids loved working with the glue and ran all around with them afterwards! Of course, the string goes for the string and tail, and tie pieces of ribbon on the tail to decorate. Voila! A kite!
